SUMMARY:2022 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:“Lifting as We Rise”\n2022 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition\nMarch 19–22\, 2022  |  Philadelphia\, PA\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n  \nLifting as We Rise—the 2022 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition—inspires and challenges us to lean in on the pathways that position the next wave of oral health educators. \nDental education is based upon a sequential process of learning\, training and developing as we move from students to providers\, from residents to educators\, from faculty to administrators. We focus on individual goals that propel us from one rung on the career ladder to the next. \nFor so many of us\, our forward momentum\, our resilience in the face of our toughest challenges and often the pivotal stages in our careers are fueled by the guidance of our mentors\, faculty and advisors. As we look forward to new opportunities and get ready to take that next step\, it is our duty to pause—and ensure we bring someone along with us. \nJoin us on March 19-22\, 2022 in historically rich and culturally diverse Philadelphia—Pennsylvania’s largest city—for Lifting as We Rise\, a program designed to foster the growth and collegiality among dental educators. (The conference location has shifted from Montreal\, Canada\, because of ongoing travel and border restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.) \nThe 2022 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition brings dental\, allied dental and advanced dental educators and students together under one roof for four days of world-class education sessions and a bustling exhibit hall filled with dental education’s leading partners. Be there as the buzz surrounding celebrated experts from inside and outside of academic dentistry fills our halls\, and extraordinary networking events and evenings in Philadelphia set the stage for new and renewed connections with colleagues from near and far. \nWe build on the successes of those before us. We learn from those alongside us. We must also lift one another up to help pave the way for those to come. It is our connectedness and the myriad contributions by all\, for all\, that drive this community forward. We look forward to being together in Philadelphia\, and we hope you will bring someone whom you inspire!

SUMMARY:Onco Cell Therapy Summit 2021
DESCRIPTION:WHY ATTEND\nThe world shut down in 2020 as the pandemic had a global impact on trade and development\, but the onco cell therapy industry remained resilient in the face of all of this. In spite of 69% of industry claiming that their biggest challenges in 2020 was meeting their projected timelines for their pipes\, the race for bringing the first BCMA targeting CAR-T to the market is reaching a climax and next-generation cell therapies are at the front of mind for those in both industry and research. \n\n\n\n\nSignificant break throughs in GvHD for allogeneic treatments and in the use of alternative cell therapies mean that onco cell therapies are embedding themselves as the 5th pillar of oncology. New combination studies and manufacturing capabilities are showing even more promise for this sector\, but with current treatments still having high costs of use and as there are limited patient pools\, there are still challenges in both clinical and commercial use of these therapies. \nThe Onco Cell Therapy Summit (OCTS)\, November 16 – 18\, Boston USA\, brings the industry together to share novel research\, manufacturing techniques\, and regulatory best practice. Each session of OCTS 2021 is dedicated to the process of translating R&D into commercially viable oncological therapies. \nWe’ve worked with industry partners to ensure that OCTS 2021 is dedicated to the effective translation and commercialization of research into safe and efficacious therapies and address these challenges. \nSpeaker List\n\n\n \n\nGo here for more information and to register for the event. \n*See the costs on the registration page.*

SUMMARY:TERMIS 6th World Congress
DESCRIPTION:6th World Congress 2021 \nWe would like to warmly welcome you to the website of the 6th world congress of the Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society (TERMIS2021). On this website you will find all information necessary to attend the congress that will take place 15 – 19 November 2021 in Maastricht\, the Netherlands. \nMaastricht is at the center of a fervid European region in the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine\, encompassing more than 4 centers of excellence\, including Prometheus at KU Leuven\, GIGA\, at the University of Liege\, the Center for Biohybrid Medical Systems at RWTH Aachen\, and the MERLN Institute at Maastricht University. The close vicinity with different incubator campuses allows these centers to also have the required support to translate research to the clinic through the market. \nThe general theme of the congress is “Biologically inspired technology driven regenerative medicine”\, which is fully reflected in the 9 parallel thematic sessions to which you can submit abstracts for oral and poster presentation. The congress program also consists of a number of special sessions\, including national societies sessions\, SYIS sessions\, industrial sessions\, clinical sessions\, European Project sessions\, lunch workshops\, and our usual business plan competition. \nThe congress equally foresees ample opportunities for networking\, including a social dinner\, and a SYIS networking evening for young members. \nThe vibrant city of Maastricht offers the ideal setting for socializing with your colleagues while enjoying the exciting scientific program. The oldest city in the Netherlands\, settled around the 50 B.C.\, Maastricht is the second city for number of National monuments after Amsterdam. Rests of the Roman walls pervade the city. Maastricht is also famous for being the city where the European Community treaty (the Maastricht treaty) has been signed\, which can be visited at the Government palace. The historical neighboring city of Aachen is famous for its cathedral\, which houses the remains of Charlemagne\, and the RWTH Aachen University\, the world’s largest engineering school. Right across the border with Belgium\, in Liège\, you can visit the award-winning moder train station and a bit further north\, you can visit Leuven\, the oldest university city in the Low Countries (Est 1425) and home to the world’s largest brewery company.  Maastricht is at the heart of Europe\, from which Brussels can be reach in 1.5 hours\, Amsterdam in 2 hours\, Paris in 2 hours and half\, and London in 3 hours.

SUMMARY:Robust\, Predictive Alternative Methods for Assessing Biocompatibility of Dental Materials
DESCRIPTION:Information for this workshop is available in this REGISTRATION FORM. Please register by COB November 5th. Connection information and additional details for the workshop will be forthcoming after registration. \nThis workshop will convene key stakeholders from academia\, NIH\, NIST and FDA to discuss major challenges in the biocompatibility assessment of new dental restorative materials during early stages of product development\, explore potential solutions to overcome limitations in predictive preclinical testing and establish opportunities for collaboration in this domain. \nThere has been increasing research in recent years on the development of new approach methodologies (NAMs\, e.g.  in vitro or in chemico assays) that can potentially yield similar results to in vivo testing. The focus of this workshop is on NAMs that could be used to predict the biocompatibility of dental materials. In materials research\, these NAMs could be used to identify biocompatibility related problems earlier in the design process and enable process or material component changes prior to investing significant resources into regulatory procedures. We will also focus on recent work that has been conducted to use quality tools to improve measurement confidence in NAMs.
