SUMMARY:2022 AADOCR Fall Focused Symposium
DESCRIPTION:Topic: Accelerating Translation of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine Technologies in the Dental\, Oral\, and Craniofacial Space\nThere have been significant strides in research in regenerative approaches to the repair and restoration of dental\, oral\, and craniofacial (DOC) tissues\, ranging from bone graft materials to regenerative endodontics to temporomandibular joint repair. Yet few regenerative medicine therapies in the DOC space have been commercialized and widely adopted clinically. Difficulties in translation are related to scientific as well as non-scientific challenges. This symposium will highlight innovative tissue engineering/ regenerative medicine research in the DOC space\, as well as layout the roadmap for overcoming challenges and translating technologies to the marketplace. \nLearning Objectives:\n\nAttendees will increase their knowledge of cutting-edge regenerative medicine approaches to a variety of clinical challenges in the DOC space.\nAttendees will increase their understanding of the technology commercialization pathway\, from academic research to clinical trials to commercialization and beyond\, including regulatory requirements and market development.\nAttendees will be provided with an armamentarium of tools to approach translation of tissue engineering/ regenerative medicine research to the marketplace and beyond.\n\n\n\n\n\nFind this course and register at the courses website of IADR.\n\n

SUMMARY:American Society of Human Genetics 2022 Annual Meeting
DESCRIPTION:A Letter from Incoming Program Committee Chair Erica Davis\n\n\n\nDear ASHG Members\, \nErica Davis\, PhD\nASHG Program Committee Chair\nWith this year rapidly coming to a close\, I hope you will join me in looking forward to the next American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) Annual Meeting in Los Angeles\, California! Now is the time to plan your invited session\, due January 26\, and to save the dates: October 25-29. We are excited to continue providing cutting-edge scientific programming while assuring we optimize for a safe environment\, paying close attention to developments on the COVID-19 pandemic. \nThe prospect of reuniting again safely in the year ahead is truly exciting. Although the entire community has rallied to share our science and gather as a community throughout this pandemic\, we’ve also learned how much we value meeting\, connecting and sharing science in person. \nAs we plan for L.A.\, reconnecting will be a theme throughout.  Great science is always at the core of our activities\, yet we’ll discover and debate new findings in an unmatched venue with beautiful beaches and a wide range of dining\, shopping and entertainment options — as well as average temperatures of 75 degrees and nearly 300 days of sunshine each year.  Los Angeles is the perfect reunion destination\, and the Program Committee is dedicated to assembling the best possible human genetics lineup for this vibrant California venue! \nPlan to join us in Los Angeles and share the possibilities. SUMMARY:Human Gene Therapy Conference
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Gene Therapy\nConference Australia\nWelcome to our International Conference on Human Gene Therapy. The conference will be held in the Australia’s sporting and cultural capital Melbourne during September 26 – 28\, 2022. While choosing our venue we kept in mind availability of the best possible facilities as well as ease of access. We hope our attendees will appreciate not only our selection of venue but the dates. \nGene Forum takes the honor to invite you to the International Human Gene Conference which will be held on September 26-28\, 2022 at Melbourne Australia. \nOver the past few years\, Gene therapy has become a regular talk for the scientists and researchers from academia and industry all over the globe. Gene therapy is very huge and more team’s diverse research is needed to find the effective treatments and best possible ways to manage the rare diseases. With a great substantial research on genetics happening in this part of the world\, therefore it has developed into a forum to discuss important challenges in this field. \nThe aim of the conference is to bring together all the key stakeholders interested in genetics and gene therapy to share and discuss advances and developments in these fields. Therefore we aimed at assisting academicians\, business executives\, researchers\, scientists\, manufacturers\, gene therapy companies\, communities\, and agencies to keep on new developments in their specific fields and to join forces in finding alternative solutions. \nIt’s a unique way to approach and encourage a dialogue between speakers and delegates through its well-planned agenda with the series of talks\, poster presentations\, panel discussions and networking events that will keep participants engaged in learning. This will help rising scientific queries and provide solutions for a smarter and more advanced future. \nWe are stepping forward to create a platform to bring all the researchers from around the world and the research community to collaborate with the industries to focus on their efforts. The industry partners and attending experts will also provide a fantastic networking experience. \nRegister on the form. \nSee the meeting website for cost pertaining to the conference.

SUMMARY:Science Webinar/AAAS presents: Maximizing the success of 3D cell models for clinical research: Disease modeling using advanced cell models and cell-analysis platforms
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nThe study of molecular mechanisms of disease has traditionally involved the use of genetically modified animal models\, which may fail to recapitulate the critical aspects of disease. Advanced cell cultures represent a new window through which researchers can observe the developmental biology of organs\, the underlying pathogenesis and progression of diseases\, and the impact of therapeutics on both diseased and healthy tissues. Imaging approaches (for example\, live-cell imaging systems) have been developed and are continuously improving to help scientists address their biological questions\, characterize 3D cell-culture models\, and generate more accurate\, robust data to better understand diseases. \nThis panel discussion will evaluate shifting trends in advanced cell models\, focusing on organoids and their use in disease modeling\, and examining their advancement and increasing prevalence in the lab. Panelists will also discuss the challenges presented in the analysis of these complex technologies and reveal top tips for obtaining the best results from these models. \nDuring this webinar\, viewers will: \n\nLearn about the latest 3D cell culture and related imaging technologies\nGain insight into challenges associated with using advanced cell models\nHear about best practices for using 3D cell models\nHave an opportunity to ask questions during the live broadcast.\n\n\nPresenters\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSpeaker: Alysson R.
